Imperial Oil is Canada's largest integrated petroleum company. Its operations, conducted under the Esso banner, are concentrated in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas, refining and marketing petroleum products, and in the manufacture and sale of petrochemicals. The company has approximately 7,500 employees in two operating divisions.
Many of these firms produce revenue in a similar manner to those companies of the Oil & Gas Pipelines category. One major different though is that these companies are not heavily into the transportation of oil & natural gas, they are in the marketing and refining of those crude, natural products. Their revenue derives from oil & gas sales and many of these companies are vertically integrated.
